To better understands what contributes to health in the region, we engaged 27 diverse community stakeholders in appreciative inquiry interviews. Columbia Gorge Health Council received a grant from OHSU’s Knight Cancer Institute Community Partnership Program to study colorectal cancer (CRC) screening practices in the region. This mixed methods study includes: (1) evaluating
consumer experiences with and attitudes toward stool testing kits called FIT kits; (2) describing current
clinic processes around CRC screening; and (3) assessing clinician attitudes
and beliefs regarding the use of FIT in screening for CRC.

This project aims to translate evidence-based interventions to improve colorectal cancer (CRC) screening rates into practice and community settings. With funding from a Patient Centered Outcomes Research (PCOR) Career Development Award, Melinda Davis, PhD, serves as the Principal Investigator and engages the CHARA governing board as the project's stakeholder advisory board.

Building Capacity for Integrated Behavioral Health and Primary Care (InteGREAT)With funding from PacificSource Community Solutions, the Oregon Rural Practice-based Research Network (ORPRN) worked with five practices in the Columbia Gorge region to increase their ability to integrate primary care and behavioral health services.
